Bought photographer Sylvia Plachy's 'Self portrait with cows going home'.
First came across her in a book from college 'unguided tour'. Liked the black and white images, the fact that a lot of them were out of focus. They gave the impression of being more natural, spur of the moment images. They had real life about them. Often very funny yet sad at the same time.

She was the stills photographer on 'The Pianist', her son is Adrian Brody who was also in King Kong.
Watched The Pianist (with Adrian Brody) for the first time on Monday night, was coincidentally shown a DVD in college on Tuesday about the making of King Kong (with Adrian Brody) then I receive this book today by a photographer I have admired for a while (who's son turns out to be Adrian Brody). Hmmm, are they trying to tell me something.....
